Marine, it is by definition a seawater dam suitable for the extraction of Moliço called Saveiro do Canto.

It allows, in the deeper areas of the estuary, the collection of Moliço, which is an excellent fertiliser for cultivated land.

These unique spaces in the landscape of Aveiro, with the first reference in the tenth century, have survived since then.

In a salt pan not only sea salt and fleur de sel are born; An edible plant, known as green salt or samphire, is also born, spontaneously and wildly, used for various uses.

Its potential related to tourism stands out, as well as the quality of the landscape, which provides moments of leisure and tranquillity of great quality to its visitors, being privileged places for the promotion of these activities.
